Mindful Yoga

  • Hatha Yoga

    As a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) 200 in two styles, I offer yoga both Yin and Yang styles of Hatha Yoga for all levels and abilities. Classes are 1 hr in length and include breathwork, asana, and meditation. By weaving concepts of mindfulness into the class narrative, I encourage students to use the asanas to get into the body and become more aware.

  • Meditation and Breathwork

    Separately or together, meditation and breathwork both can be used to elicit the relaxation response and bring attention back to the present moment. I offer 30 minute on-line guided meditation and breathwork practices to help strengthen these abilities to help bring awareness throughout the day.

  • Why Mindfulness?

    My mindfulness teaching is informed by the work and teachings of Jon Kabat-Zinn. By bringing non-judgmental present moment awareness to what is already here, we awaken the mind to all the possibilities. Mindfulness encourages paying attention with intention which is how we live life in the Peace Lane.
